I regularly wear my hair in braids, wearing it down a few times a year. When it’s been washed, combed and air-dried, it forms ringlets. Toward the ends it is thinner, so I’m calling it 18-22 inches. I’m happy to email additional photos with rulers, especially to show thickness, which was harder to measure because of how curly it is.
The photos show it after being removed from braids. I wash and condition it no more than twice weekly. It is more curly when it has not been braided. Both photos are more frizzy than if I’ve just conditioned, combed it out and air-dried, but you can sort of see the ringlets.
I’ve been told that my hair is fine, but thick, that the individual strands are fairly fine, but there are a lot of them. In college, a friend who was a hairdresser looked under a microscope and stuff, and told me all about it. That’s all I remember.
